Greetings! I'm Matthew T. Garza
When I was little, I was constantly picked on by my peers. Teachers, and some parents, told me I was inadequate. Each day I would come home from school, look myself in the mirror, and say to myself, "One day I'm going to make it. I'm going to prove everyone wrong." It's been 12 years since I first looked myself in the mirror with this dream. I've come a long way in previous years, and I'm only just getting started.

Recent Projects
I had the privilege of being part of a team and worked with a Capstone Simulator that allowed us to run our own business and make decisions related to R&D, Finance, Marketing, Leveraging, and Capital Improvements. The link above is our team presentation with our takeaways from the project.
My Capstone class for Management required me to put together a presentation about my brand and the PowerPoint above is the brand image I have created for myself. I have always had a strong work ethic and the desire to be the best person I can.
One of my favorite projects from this summer was having the opportunity to sort through 30+ years of college enrollment from every college in the United States to determine the colleges that have been growing the most in recent years. The spreadsheet link on the left focuses mostly on Universities in California. Give it a click!

Leadership
From a very young age, I was told that I was a "natural" leader. At age 16, I landed my first job as a Recreation Leader (see attached resume on previous page). It wasn't long until my manager started to see my potential, and started training me to be a manager. Since then, my Leadership skills have significantly improved through hands-on experience.
Communication
Successful Leadership skills come with effective Communication. I was a great Recreation Leader because of my efficient communication skills. I believe strongly in communication because it allows people to connect, and build beneficial relationships. I care about people, so it only makes sense for me to become an expert in Communication.
Efficiency
As a college student, more specifically a Business major, it's important to be efficient. On average, I work 35-40 hours a week, along with a full schedule of classes. With school, extra curricular's, and having somewhat of a social life, it's common for me to have 100-115 hour weeks. People think I'm crazy, but I love what I do, and I'm hungry for Success.
